National Physicians Week 2021 was one for the books! Our founder Dr. Kimberly Jackson was interviewed by Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg and recognized for her dedication to Physicians Working Together. It was a phenomenal experience because PWT began as a Facebook group in 2015 and has grown into an independent online community of over 9,000 members.
Due to the Pandemic, there was no formal celebration; However, National Physicians Week was visible across the country with billboard announcements in New York Times Square, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
The 3rd annual Medical Student Scholarship Contest, though delayed, went on as planned! This year’s winner, Charles Baker impressed the PWT judges with his culinary presentation. The 2021 PWT Future Physicians of America Scholarship recipient is a first-year medical student at UAB School of Medicine. He demonstrates the preparation of a juicy New York Strip steak.
